Day3

Breakfast in the hotelΒ  meeting in a hotel lobby .charents arch  – Driving along the Yerevan – Garni highway, you can see the Charents Arch on the right side of the road on a hill. The monument is named after the great Armenian poet and great patriot Yeghishe Charents. From here a stunning view of the great biblical mountain Ararat opens all day long.GARNI is a pagan temple and best-known structure & symbol of pre- Christian Armenia. It is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia. The structure was probably built by king Tiridates I in the first century AD as a temple to the sun god Mihr. GEGHARD meaning “Spear”, originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion. It’s a medieval monastery which was partially carved out of the adjacent mountain. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. SYMPHONY OF STONES is the result of the collapse of volcanic rocks. It is hard to believe that neatly and symmetrically carved stones are created by nature itself, and not by human hands.
